Lynne Fair Homrich, Founder and Editor-in-Chief
Widely regarded as an expert on women in business, Lynne Fair Homrich brings to Uptown Scoop a career perspective spanning more than 20 years, including senior management work with top Fortune 500 companies.
Before establishing Lynne Fair Media, Inc., publisher of Uptown Scoop, Homrich served as vice president of human resources at The Home Depot—the youngest female appointed to an executive role in the company’s history. In her role, she oversaw succession planning and leadership development for the company and created several proprietary leadership programs, including the Business Leadership Program, of hybrid of which was recently profiled in Fast Company magazine.
Homrich began her career at Abbott Laboratories in Chicago, later relocating to Atlanta to serve as a management consultant for Ernst & Young, and then as head of sales and marketing for the bio-technology company Serologicals.
Homrich also started and operated two of her own businesses, Masters Career Consulting and Fair One, a home party company specializing in children’s clothing.
Homrich is active with the Atlanta Women’s Foundation, Ladies Who Launch, eWomenNetwork and several other forums supporting women in business. She is a founding board member of the Atlanta-based Heart of Hope Academy, a school for the mentally handicapped. As a lifelong mentor to women and girls, Homrich also has been active in the Georgia 100® Mentoring Program and The Atlanta Girls’ School.
An Indianapolis native, Homrich holds a degree in biochemistry from Purdue University. She resides in Atlanta with her husband, David, and four children – three sons and a daughter recently adopted from China.
